Heat-Shrinkable End-Cap

The RSCE Heat-Shrinkable End-Cap is expertly designed for secure sealing of the distal ends of electric power and telecommunication cables. It provides robust protection against moisture ingress, ensuring long-term reliability and performance of cable installations, particularly in environments that expose cables to the elements.

Technical Specifications

  • Material: Durable heat-shrinkable polymer
  • Shrink Ratio: Conforms tightly to cable ends upon application of heat
  • Tensile Strength: 12 MPa offering excellent mechanical protection
  • Elongation at Break: 300% allowing flexibility while maintaining a tight seal
  • Heat Aging: Retains mechanical properties even after extended exposure to temperatures up to 120°C
  • Volume Resistance: ≥10^9 Ω-cm ensuring superior electrical insulation
  • Dielectric Strength: ≥ 18 kV/mm protecting against electrical breakdown
  • Water Absorption: <0.5% minimizing risk of corrosion and other water-related damages
  • Installation: Easily applied using a standard heat gun which provides a secure water-resistant seal
  • Application: Suitable for both electric power and telecommunication cables, enhancing protection at exposed cable ends
